Formal complaint regarding our stay Negative: Dear Manager/Team, I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding our recent stay at [accommodation name]. From the moment of our arrival, the experience fell well below the standard advertised, and I believe the situation requires both explanation and redress. On arrival, although our access code worked, no key had been left for us. This meant we were unable to get in or out of the room. We called the contact number provided, only to be met with an indecipherable answering machine message. By sheer luck, we encountered a member of the building staff who kindly let us in using his own key. He assured us he would notify someone, but no solution was offered until much later in the day. During this time, we came across other guests experiencing exactly the same problems with missing keys, suggesting this is not an isolated issue but a recurring one. Travelling with two young children, the situation was particularly difficult. We had to cancel our plans because we could not freely come and go, and at one point we were deeply concerned about safety—had a door closed while our children were inside, we would have had no way of reaching them. This posed not only a serious safeguarding concern but also a fire safety risk. By the time we finally received a key, it was late, past the children’s bedtime, and essentially pointless given we were only staying for one night and checking out the following morning. Adding to this, the cleanliness and safety of the room itself were unacceptable. On adjusting the cushions, we found chocolate wrappers and a lighter hidden underneath—completely inappropriate in a space where children are expected to stay safely. The result was a deeply disappointing and stressful experience that caused disruption to our plans, unnecessary upset to our children, and serious concerns around safety. In light of the above, I am requesting a full refund for our stay.

Für uns war es Positive: Das Wichtigste: Sehr sauber! -modern, hat uns sehr angesprochen -große bequeme Betten -die Lage ist super, konnten alles zu Fuß erreichen -viele öffentliche Parkplätze in der Umgebung unterschiedlicher Preisklasse (gegenüber £ 8/Tag wenige Plätze, Mount Pleasant Parkhaus 6 £/Tag, zu Fuß erreichbar) Negative: -Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein, wenigstens Küchentücher zum Trocknen -ein Besen o. Staubsauger zum zwischendurch Krümel auffegen wäre toll

Very good will stay again Positive: Close to town, clean, modern, plenty of room! Negative: Nothing really but if I had to pick, the sofa bed was difficult for one person and one of the slots was broke however we just moved the other half of the couch around and made a large bed that way!
