Room 31 - King bed (Sleeps 2)

A great location, with spacious and clean rooms Positive: I booked 3 rooms at Epic Duke St and was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and clean our rooms were. I hadn't looked at the reviews before booking, and I would say that their star rating is much better than depicted on Booking.com. I was very dis-organised on arrival and didn't read the key lock instructions correctly, so I had to call them to clarify. The staff were very friendly and sorted out my issue immediately. Negative: It's a great location and walking distance to everything. This was a family trip for my daughters graduation and would highly recommend,

Honestly the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel, not worth a dime for the false advertisement of a double bed when it Positive: Absolutely nothing to like about the room! The king room is advertised as a double size bed however it is 2 single beds put together that shift apart and made sleep so uncomfortable and is basically false advertisement Negative: The air con didn’t work, there are no lifts and we had heavy luggage to carry as we were given the top floor room (5th floor), the bathroom door didn’t lock so you couldn’t separate the smell from the toilet and bedroom. They don’t advertise that they don’t have any lifts so if you have luggage do not book with these guys. The shower cut off mid shower and the rooms lighting is so poor you can barely see at night.

Good Positive: good location, comfortable bed, and working aircon made the stay very comfortable. Plenty of sockets for charging phones on both sides of bed. Negative: The TV was a fairly old model without smart features, wifi had spotty reception with it being top floor. Not a deal breaker but worth keeping in mind.

Comfortable, but for the mobility challenged this will be a problem. Positive: Well appointed & comfortable and the aircon was perfect on the hottest day of the year so far. Negative: An old building conversion that was done with panache, however there has been no provision made for a lift to reach upper floors. There were 60 steps to reach my room on the third floor which was a huge disincentive to ‘popping out’.
